About Tharwa
What Tharwa is
Tharwa is an independent digital publication following money, markets and economies across the GCC: Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain. We publish in Arabic and English and combine concise news briefings, company profiles, market indicators and explanatory finance material.
Editorial mission
Our aim is to help readers in and around the Gulf understand what is happening in markets and the wider economy in plain language, without hype or promotion. We do not give investment advice and we do not sell editorial coverage. Any paid placement is clearly labelled as sponsored.
GCC focus
We cover Gulf exchanges and listed companies, energy, banking, IPOs, economic policy, regional wealth and entrepreneurship. Stories without a clear financial or economic link to the region are filtered out before publication.
How sources are selected
- We work from publicly accessible sources: financial news outlets, official exchange and regulator statements, and company disclosures.
- Every source passes an automated quality and reliability check; sources that go dark or produce unreliable material are dropped.
- Material whose original link cannot be verified is not published.
How articles are prepared
- We write a short original summary rather than copying source text, and add Gulf context where the underlying data supports it.
- Each story is published as one Arabic/English pair, with the original source named and linked on the page.
- Prices and market data come from a single shared data layer and are shown as delayed, with the time of the last update.
Corrections policy
If you spot an incorrect figure, name or interpretation, write to us and we will review it. When a published story is materially changed we update the last-updated date shown on the page. Material found to be inaccurate is corrected or withdrawn. hello@tharwagcc.com
Ownership and editorial responsibility
Tharwa is an independent, self-funded publishing project run by the Tharwa editorial team.
